This study presents an inventory model for a deteriorating item with a replenishment rate that is dependent on the on-hand inventory level and demand. The model assumes that the rate of deterioration in constant, rate of demand is an exponential function of time and shortage of stocks is not allowed. A computational method for solving the time t1 and t2 that will minimize the total average cost of the inventory system is derived. Different values are then substituted to the equation of the model to illustrate the solution procedure.
