Thesis (BS Biology) -- University of the Philippines Mindanao, 2002

A study on some biological attributes and morphological characteristics of Xanthopimpla stemmator and its degree of paratisitization on the Asian Corn Borer (ACB)was conducted. Samples of ACB were collected from corn-producing towns of South Cotabato, Cotabato and Bukidnon. X stemmator emerges by cutting its way through the pupal case using its mandibles > courtship precedes mating. The female parasitoid its bigger and has a longer life span compared to the male. The body parts were covered with seate, apparently suggesting the X xtemmator is an effective carrier for spreading pollen in the field. Based on the 206 mACB samples collected, 4 adult X stemmator emerged, or a parasitization of 1.9%
