An investigation on the classification and general morphology of the ectoparasites of the Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi, Ogilvie-Grant) / Cheryl Ann S. Abad - 2002 - 37 leaves

Twenty-one Philippine Eagles in captivity (Pithecophaga jefferyi) were visually examined for ectoparasite infestation. Feather mites and scaly-leg mites were found on the eagle. Based on their characteristics, the feather mite belongs to Family Pterolichidae and the scaly-leg mite belongs to Family Psoroptidae.
