This study focused on the analysis of the demand for Cardaba among Davao City banana processors. More specifically, this study aimed to determine the supply and demand of Cardaba banana in Region 11 and in Davao City, respectively, coupled with price elasticity; to evaluate the internal and external environment of the banana processing industry in Davao City; and finally to recommend and provide sufficient data for future use of the Cardaba banana buyers and sellers in the market . The study used primary and secondary data Key players of the industry were interviewed to understand the internal and external environment of the industry. The results of this study showed that area of plantation of Cardaba banana in Region 11, significantly affects the supply. Consequently, it has been found out that exchange rate, value of export as well as price of raw material significantly affects the quantity demanded of banana chips in Davao City. The sensitivity of growers from a 10% increase in price would make them increase 8.7% of Cardaba banana supply while demand will decrease by approximately 7.3%. The total demand of Cardaba bananas will also further increase with the emergence of the production of microwaveable frozen bananas. It has been also found out that the industry is facing many opportunities such as the expansion of area of Cardaba banana plantation which will address the issue of low supply. Despite this, there are also threats for the industry such as the increasing competition among other countries such as Thailand and Vietnam in terms of price competitiveness and the ability to meet export orders. Based on the results of the study, it is highly recommended that there be an increase the area of Cardaba banana production in the region. The government must create programs across the region in the provision of loans to small growers so that they may expand their production capacity. Financial constraint is the main problem for the growers to act upon improvements for the industry. Thus, by giving them access to credit, they can fully operate and expand their area of production and eventually meet the expected demand in the following years. Also the compliance of banana processors to proper manufacturing certifications shall add up to the company's competency with pricing and quality of its products, which means increase in the market as well as an increase in the income of the banana processing industry of Davao.
