Summary, etc. The study on marketplaces in local social setting is highly concerned with identifying facts which hinder local public markets towards attaining further economic growth and development. It is perhaps quite obvious that public market nowadays face several issues which lessen its capacity to draw a huge number of patrons toward it. As a result, vendors officially awarded with stalls in the market tend to violate the rules and regulations set by the government for their compliance, in order to keep up with the stiff competition against transient vendors who occupy the most saleable spaces in the market. Public open spaces in the market are rarely preserved given the fact that vendors, upon recognizing the areas' accessibility to consumers, set up their stalls and do business in the area directly after securing permit from the local market committee. Others considering that they'd be using the space only for a short period of time directly set up their stalls, display their commodities and then pay dues issued on them by authorized without following legal measures for market space occupation. Hence, ordinances laid by the law-making body are usually not followed since persons in authority tolerate such transactions with the vendors for the sake of being able to collect more for the local government in exchange for those collections supposed to have been taken from vendors who had their stall ownership returned to the government. Now, taking these accounts, basically public markets need have to be developed. Issues on lessened market aesthetics, mobility, and several other problems which gradually paralyze market operation must be resolved. Guidelines as to how marketplaces should be planned or developed must be established. Possible occurrence of relevant issues that may affect the market in the future must be considered upon implementation of new market planning and design. Generally, this certain study aims of developing new approach to market planning. That marketplaces may be planned in a manner appropriate to the local social setting, that issues cited above maybe avoided or maybe dealt with accordingly, thus creating an effective and efficient public market.
