Summary, etc. Facebook is one of the fastest growing and best known social networks among the youth today. As one of the new forms of media to emerge in the digital age, little is still known about how much, why, and how individuals are using this kind of media. This study examined the patterns and reasons for Facebook users were identified through purposive sampling in the secondary schools found in Barangay Bago Gallera. Questionnaires were distributed after which, the gathered were tabulated and tallied by obtaining the frequency of the answer of the respondents in a particular manner in which Facebook is used. Results were then analyzed by looking into the patterns and the reasons for Facebook use formed in the different areas of demographics of the respondents. Results indicate that almost the same patterns and reason for Facebook use surfaced in the study. The age, gender, year level, and classification of parents' occupation of the respondents did not affect the factors influencing Facebook use, reasons for Facebook use, length and frequency of Facebook use, accessibility of Facebook use, and availability of Facebook use. However, the annual family income of the respondents was found to create an impact in the availability of Facebook use, primarily over the preference of hourly rate at Internet cafes. Since social networks are continuously evolving, the study recommends a more extensive examination in investigating the purpose and manner in which social networking sites such as Facebook are being utilized.
