520 3# - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The study aimed to analyze social capital among FARMCOOP members particularly AMSKARBEMCO, DARBCO, and DARBMUPCO. With the initial information that the respondents abide by cooperative principles, the specific elements associatedness, trust and optimism were tested. Results showed that AMSKARBEMCO respondents positively responded towards the three social capital statements compared with the other two cooperatives. It was further noted that the number of members in an organization is inversely proportional to respondents' response on their perception towards the social capital statements. Prior to the implementation of CARP, there was a call for collaborative governance from the different sectors by the government for the full implementation of the law. Thus, in this study, the networks and institutions were explored. There were two identified organization that were discussed in the paper, DAR and FARMCOOP. Both are extending assistance to the cooperatives in conformance to the law. DAR as the prime agency to assist in the implementation of the program extends legal and livelihood assistance to the beneficiares. FARMCOOP on the other hand, as an NGO also provide assistance, both technical and legal to its member cooperatives ans it is evident that the members are satisfied about it and amenable that they greatly benefit from it.
