Summary, etc. The study surveyed contract and independent growers of oil palm. The author analyzed 87 respondents in the assessment of profitability and viability of oil palm growing in North Cotabato. Logistic Regression was used in analyzing the factors influencing the farmer's decision towards contract growership participation. The author found out that variable training and farm size were significant at 0.01 and 0.05 a respectively. A typical farmer has the probability of engaging in contrast growership of 94%. The study also compared and contrasted the growership scheme of oil palm growers. Contract growership and independent farming system are the two modalities discussed in the study. The probability analysis results showed that oil palm venture in North Cotabato is profitable and efficient. Basing on the results of gross margin ratio, both growers have results that are higher than 50% which mean that oil palm venture is performing efficiently. The cost benefit ratio showed that contract and independent grower have higher returns for every PhP 1 invested in the farm. Net present value oil palm growers in general are greater than zero which means that the investment in oil palm will increase the farmer' wealth.
