Summary, etc. Urban public parks have been tied to people and their living environment, and so it plays a vital role to citizens? identity and their sense of space and peace. By making it possible for all individual, regardless of their gender, sexuality, level of income, and degree of able-bodiedness, to access the public parks comfortably, without any fear and hesitation, we are able to create a livelier and more livable city. This study aimed to formulate design guidelines for a gender sensitive design of Urban Recreational Public Parks. Specifically, this study aimed to determine the Davao City public parks profile, find out the relationship of Heterosexual group and LGBT community in terms of different use pattern, experiences & sense of safety and preferred use of parks using a Mixed Method Research Design. From the site ocular visits, online researchers, survey, personal interviews and focus group discussions, findings were then formulated. The study found out that relationships between genders are significantly positive-high related. This indicates that in public parks, all gender groups generally have the same range of experience and preference of usage. The data were analyzed, and then design guidelines for gender sensitive urban recreational public parks were formulated and presented.
