Summary, etc. | Child trafficking is rampant social issue that is reoccurring in all countries and is continually increasing in Davao City, DSWD-XI has provided campaign materials ready for the public, however, and these materials did not shed light on the most dominant cases of trafficking in persons- minors. This production thesis aims to design and contribute new and localized IEC materials in the existing campaign of DSWD-XI in order to effectively prevent cases of minors being trafficked in Davao City. The researcher designed a series of posters that communicates the dominant cases of trafficking which are, Forced Sexual Cyber work, Domestic Work and Prostitution, Public Information Theory was used in strategizing on how to disseminate the information effectively and the Theory of Visual Rhetoric was used as the foundation in constructing and designing posters. The theme that is reoccurring in all posters were inspired by the themes of the each cases and the previous materials provided by DSWD-XI. The main design elements used in conveying the message were the photographs, colors, and layout of the posters. In each of the three lenticular poster were two views, each depicting a pleasant and vicious reality of each of the clients in the cases. The main challenge for the researcher was to arrange the stories and lift details to use minor details in order to conceal the identity of the clients. In the production process, the audience, which is the general public, was considered thus, the design elements were arranged in a manner that would be attractive and convey a very striking message. |
