Material type: TextLanguage: English Publication details: 2021Description: 97 leavesSubject(s): Dissertation note: Thesis (Master in Management) -- University of the Philippines Mindanao, July 2021 Summary: North Davao Colleges is a fruit conceived out from the vision of the late and honorable Dr. Ceasar U. Somoso to help the youth in the fulfillment of their educational aims and dreams. With thorough analysis of the entity in terms of the initial discussion with the Dean of the College Department of North Davao Colleges, it helped to determine these following major problems that the strategic planning paper seeks to solve. These are: (1) increased attrition of the Elementary and Secondary Faculty members, and (2) a significant number of students transferring to SUCs offering the same degree programs with NDC. The strategic management model presented by David (2004) was adapted for this paper. This model shows the system of how the data would be gathered, methods to be used to select the best strategy and how the monitoring would be administered. For the analysis of the External Environment, the following were used: PEST analysis, Porter's Five Forces Analysis, and External Factor Evaluation. For the analysis of the Internal Factors, specifically on the Financial Aspect, the following were used: CVP Analysis and DuPont Analysis to give a view of the financial stability of the school; Internal Factor Evaluation was also used. In order to help generate good strategies for implementation, SWOT Matrix and Internal-External Matric were used. These two tools were used in the marching stage based on the data presented in the Internal and External Factors. Later on, these tools helped to determine three broad strategies, namely: (1) Organizational Development, (2) Product Development, and (3) Market Development, Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix was used in order to choose the better option among the three broad strategies. For the strategy implementation, it is recommended for the entity to implement the three proposed strategies. The last part of the paper presents the projected sales, operational expenses and population growth of students should the proposed strategies be implemented by the entity.Cover image | Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
