A five-year strategic plan of MJS Glass Supply in Tagum City / Jessil B. Lomotos

It is the art and science of formulating, implementing, and evaluating cross-functional decisions that enable an organization to achieve its objectives (David, 2009). The same is also defined as an attempt to take primary decisions, and activities were showing the nature of the company (other existences) and what it does for these activities (Brison, 2009). This strategic plan helps to develop MJS Glass Supply attain its goals, objectives and outputs by assessing the internal environments and the external environments that affect its methods to the crafting and implementation of an overall strategic plan over a four-year duration (2020-2025). MJS glass Supply is a single proprietorship, Tagum-based enterprise that has been offering glass and aluminum products to the market for over 25 years. Genoveva D. Cabanca established the company on November 17, 1994, in the street of Sobrecarey in Tagum City, and subsequently transferred to its main office in Sta. Cruz. Its name came from the initialism of names of Genoveva's three children, Marlon, Jenny and Sery. To objectively measure the proposed Vision, Mission and Goals of the company, the said VMG was evaluated and developed through the aid of strategic framework of Fred David (2011), which is the company wanted to become the leading glass enterprise in Davao Region. In order to provide strategies for MJS Glass Supply, the internal and external environments were evaluated and assessed. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of MJS Glass Supply were analyzed using Industry Analysis, External Factor Evaluation (EFE), competitive Profile Matrix, Porter's Forces Five Model and Internal Factor Evaluation. To assess the internal and external positions of MJS Glass Supply, SWOT matrix and Internal-External matrix have been used to arrive strategies that are fit for the company. To subjectively assess all the analysis and tools for MJS Glass Supply, the last strategy which can be used to rank all the list of strategies is the Quantitative Strategic Planning Model (QSPM), Market penetration as the proposed strategy to be used in each functional area: Human Resource, Marketing, Operations and Finance. After the evaluation of the four departments, the results show what are the designed activities and programs to be implemented for the development of the company. Using the projections, the financial outcome of the strategies were evaluated. With the implementation of strategies, the company in five years will obtain a growth rate at 50% and 30% profit.
