This study aims to determine the optimum use of land, labor and capital in relation to the area of thirteen locally grown vegetables in Sitio Upper New Sabang and Sitio Pamuhatan, Barangay Marilog, Davao City. This study looked into the current income of farmers areas were identified with two types of model per area, namely: (i) pooled model in the subject areas, (ii) Sitio Upper New Sabang, and (iii) Sitio Pamuhatan. The income derived in each area were then compared with the poverty threshold. Results showed that the models have net incomes that surpass the poverty threshold with ample amount this study, tomato and bitter gourd emerged as the two vegetables most beneficial for the farmers. Thus, the cultivation of these two vegetables is recommended to optimize income despite limited resources.
