The weighting methods considered include equal weighting of all attributes and three methods for using judgments about the rank ordering of weights. The questioned addressed was: how well does each method perform when judgments of attribute weights are based on ratios of weights? This is done through a simulation process. Rank-Sum method is surprisingly the most efficacious in approximating attribute weights. In addition, it is significantly better than the other three methods. Rank-Order Centroid ranked a little bit higher than Rank-reciprocal but, their performances are not significantly different. Equal weights method is the worst among the four methods and, it is found to be significantly inferiorCover image | Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
