Thesis (BS Food Technology) -- University of the Philippines Mindanao, 2003

The plant practice was conducted from April 16 to May 28, 2002 at Nenita Quality Foods Corporation, Marapangi, Toril, Davao City. The author was assigned in the different division of the plant: Production, Quality Assurance Department (QAD), Purchasing, Materials and Supplies and Engineering. She was allowed to take part in the different activities inside the plant. Inspection, labeling, packaging were conducted at the production area. Chemical analysis of pre-packed products as well as microbial tests were learned at the QAD laboratory. Sensory evaluation of the experimental products were also conducted and done in the said laboratory. Lectures on management, engineering, materials and supplies, and other different sections of the company were also rendered to the trainee. The student learned interpersonal skills during the production. After observation and hands-on experience in the industry, problems, recommendations were presented.
