Exercise became a means to an end rather than an enjoyable activity which may induce longer participation. The study aims to create pleasurable exercise environments to enhance exercise participation and induce proper motivation behavior. Exercising satisfying The Four Pleasures by Patrick W. Jordan may enhance exeRyan C. Songcayauonie environment. Survey questionnaires are handed to four hundred (400) respondents, two hundred (200) respondents fitness centers and two hundred (200) for non-fitness center users. The highest motivation for the exercisers of Davao City is weight management and the exercisers participated mostly in cardio and weights. The highest in the preferred traditional exercise program is cardio. The highest in preferred unconventional exercise program is wall climbing. The non-gym and gym users prefer natural day lighting, natural ventilation, exposed to nature when exercising, provision of shops and provision of open spaces. The highest in pleasure value are wooden flat walls with no texture, rubber mat floors, exposed to nature waiting areas with circular foamed seats with back rests, woody olfactory note, direct access, modern exterior and interior, high ceiling and ambient lighting.
