By: Material type: TextTextDescription: 65pagesSubject(s): Dissertation note: Thesis, Undergraduate (BA Communication Arts) -- U. P. in Mindanao Abstract: This is a production study that aims to promote Mindanao Development Authority to the public through a promotional video. MinDA is a government institution that mainly focuses on the economic development, as well as on the social, political, and cultural aspects of Mindanao. The problem of the institution is that they have no effective promotional material for their institutional identity. Thus the researcher, decided to make a promotional video that is expected to cater to general audiences. It will endorse Mindanao Development Authority as an intensive reliable national research institution designed for Mindanao. The concept for this production thesis was to make a promotional video that is packaged by using four elements: visuals, text, sound elements and movements within the frames. These elements are used to intensify the message, the advocacies and the development programs MinDA will promote. It was focused on the conceptual flow of the video by using photographs on how the shots will explain topics and promote MinDA to its general public. This study was made possible by the audio-visual elements that the researcher chose to advertise MinDA's identity and engage potential and interested community. The combination of various elements used in the video supported the institution's initiatives and strategies in promoting its role in the society, especially in the economic development of Mindanao.
