Material type: TextLanguage: English Publication details: 2011Description: 87 leavesSubject(s): Dissertation note: Thesis (BS Computer Science) -- University of the Philippines Mindanao, 2011 Summary: This study was conducted to implement web service technology that would allow data sharing between the thypothetical systems of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP). Both NBI Clearance System (NBICS) and PNP-Police Clearance System (PNP-PCS) were instantiated with dummy criminal records. Another system was developed called the Central System, which retrieves data from the two systems using web services. Though the two independent prototype systems are the service provider, they can also be the service consumer/requestor to the other system. A service provider provides web services and the requestor calls these web services. Two Web Service Description Languages (WSDL) were created to employ the web services of the two independent prototype systems. Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) was used to implement the web services.Cover image | Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
