It aims to help address the shortage of blood supply in the region. This thesis production aims to help Pledge 25 on its campaign. The objective of this study is to design series of posters that will help the program in persuading the youth to donate blood to help save more lives. To be able to persuade more people to donate blood, the researcher will inform them the advantages of blood donating through posters. Three creative processes were used in this study: pre-production, production, and post-production stages. In the pre-production stage, the researcher made an analysis on the existing posters of the program using the Principles and Elements of Visual Design by Poppy Evans and Mark A. Thomas as a guide. The researcher also studied the principles of photography and the elements and principles of visual design. In the production stage, the researcher took photos and using Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe In Design, created poster design considering elements of visual design. Taglines were also formulated for each design in this stage. In the post-production stage, final editing of the designs took place. The researcher was able to conclude that in designing visuals, especially posters, one must consider every single element that will be used. Having the knowledge on visual design can help us communicate properly and even contribute to help people and the society.
