One type of tourist destination is theme parks which, today, are star players in the tourism industry. They are the main motivators for tourism trips to many destinations. Theme parks reflect the identity of the owner?s home country. Disneyland and Universal Studios are examples of successful theme parks targeted by tourists. Aside from it being a tourist trap and magnet, theme parks can be established as a landmark in the southern islands of the Philippines that can have the potential to be made known globally. It can also improve the economy of a city due to provision of jobs and business for the locals. Davao City also boasts a rich culture and historical background that are slowly fading due to globalization and the modernization of the lives of Davaoenos. From historical, natural, cultural, and as well as its annual activities, Davao City has much to offer to its visitors. This study aims to explore and present the cultural richness and the history of Davao City in a way that will entertain as well as educate the visitors. The proposed project will feature the different tourism elements of Davao City. Since Davao City has limited area for recreational zones, the most suitable site for this project is the Magsaysay Park area. With considerably smaller area compared to other theme parks, the major zones based on the history of Davao City can be housed in one structure to save space. This one structure is inspired from an icon of Davao City which is the Durian.
