This study assessed the capability of digital storytelling to bring social issues to the wider audience and if it can bring personal change to the creators of the digital stories. This was done by applying digital storytelling to a minority?s organization, and in this study?s case, was done with a student LGBT organization, by conducting a four-day digital storytelling workshop. Digital storytelling indeed can bring social issues to the wider audience and it also has a way of discussing these issues because digital storytelling has a personal approach to its audiences. Personal image is also observed from the workshop participants. Ultimately, digital storytelling can be said to be an alternative medium to be utilized by minorities and marginalized groups to make their unheard voices be heard.
