A bacterial infection, Leptospirosis becomes rampant and alarming among flood-stricken areas. Leptospirosis is an infection caused by bacteria Leptospira that incubates in the urine of infected animal, and it can be passed on to humans and can thrive in drinking water, soil, muddy areas, and floods. With high cases of Leptospirosis in region XI, it is then imperative that thousands of its residents must be oriented with the disease. Ignorance and lack of education on this bacterial infection should be effectively and urgently addressed. Information on its causes, prevention and treatment should be comprehensively discussed through the most appropriate medium. Radio, being inexpensive and with its ability of having a wide reach when it comes to its target audience, was chosen. The proponent went through a process of research, data gathering, script writing, recording, and audio editing to be able to produce radio Public Service Announcement for the civil society of Region XI to increase their awareness regarding Leptospirosis.
