For the first two weeks, the trainee was assigned in the retention area to evaluate products stored at varying temperatures and lengths of time after which the remaining time was spent at the quality assurance lab to evaluate instruments in-line samples, raw materials and water quality. The trainee was also allowed to observe the production site and the microbiology and research laboratories. For the duration of the plant practice, she was able to apply the knowledge and basic training received from the University. She also gained insights on frequent problems encountered during plant operation and made recommendation for possible further improvement of the company's production system.
