(NEH, Philippines) is one the Philippine banana exporters of fresh Cavendish bananas to the Middle East and Far Eastern markets. It is a Bahrain-based trading company which established its office in 2001 in Davao City. It is also a 13-year old company established by Mr. Ebrahim Alameer and Mr. Nader Rajab in partnership with Mr. Paul Smits. The company aims to become a High Performing Organization (HPO) in the next three years. By doing so, there are two important HPO factors set by the company to achieve: (1) to increase its market share by 2% from 2014 to 2016; and (2) to improve all individual in the organization in terms of the HPO factors. In order to achieve the two important factors in becoming NEH a High Performing Organization, this paper used various tools to assess the capability of the company to respond to the challenges of its external environment. The External Factor Evaluation (EFE) Matrix was used to evaluate the company's responsiveness to opportunities and threats. In the same manner, Internal External (IE) Matrix was employed as a management strategic tool to come up with a strategic position of the company. There are six (6) strategic options identified after a thorough analysis conducted from external and internal environments of the Philippine Banana industry. In coming up the best strategic option, a Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) tool was used as basis for the strategic choice. This paper also identified all the strategic drivers to support the best strategic option identified. These are: volume performance, productivity, sourcing, quality and talent management.
