It is the poor patients that heavily use public health facilities resulting in unequal access to healthcare to the detriment of the poor. Thus, the government has allowed strong participation of private health care providers, including those specializing in maternity cases. Despite the recognition of private health care providers, there is no sufficient operational information available on how to strengthen existing ones. The availability of a strategic plan may help ensure viability and sustainability of private health care providers. This strategic plan seeks to contribute to building and strengthening GS Lying In and OB GYNE Clinic by presenting and analyzing its current issues and proposing strategies in addressing the said issues. GS Lying-in and OB GYNE Clinic is a small scale, Philhealth-accredited basic emergency obstetric and newborn care birthing facility and clinic that is owned and managed by a licensed Obstetrician-Gynecologist. GS Lying-in and OBGYNE clinic?s main source of revenue is birth deliveries. This is the first time that the operations, finances, human resources and marketing strategies of the center have been looked into. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats were determined and issues have been uncovered. On biggest concern is that GS Lying-in and OB GYNE clinic is losing in its operations and analyzing further, there is gross under capacity that needs to be addressed, among other issues. In order to address the company's issues, this strategic plan was created. Overview of the business and the background of the company are first established, followed by the general performance review of the business where the main problems and issues are discussed. This strategic management plan aligned its preparation with Fred David's Model of Strategic Management Processes. GS Lying in & Medical clinic's strategy plan will be guided and given a clear direction by this straightforward framework. It will follow the three stages, namely, strategy formulation, implementation and lastly evaluation. To be able to come up with strategies, external and internal factors were analyzed giving importance and emphasis on the core areas. This plan used the SWOT matrix together with the key internal and external factors to form strategies. These strategies were then weighted using QSPM resulting to two (2) strategic areas, marketing and operation. Implementation details were then shown through implementation matrices. Lastly, the KRA and KPI were decided on as the control systems. Furthermore, the success of the proposed strategies and development will be measured against the KRA and KPI.Cover image | Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
