Earlier study have shown that Philippines is one of the poorest in Asia in terms of bone health awareness, as reflected in the lack of government osteoporosis is not seen a serious threat. Information environment and risk perception of osteoporosis among selected puroks in Barangay Buhangin Proper, Davao City is a formative study on the level of knowledge, understanding and the perception of the residents of Barangay Nuhngin Proper, Davao City. The researcher found out that there were no data that the city health office of Davao does not have data about osteoporosis. Because of this, the researcher used a none-shot survey design in a form of an interview schedule in order to gather ample amount of data that could be useful in this study. The study started on August 2014 and culminated on February 2015. The result have shown that there a very high knowledge on osteoporosis in the aforementioned barangay.
