In particular, it looks at their socioeconomic profile and prior exposure to VCT campaigns as well as their current knowledge on HIV and AIDS, awareness on testing services, attitude and beliefs towards HIV testing, and prevention practices and how these variables affect their intention to be screened for HIV. It also examines the young male BPO professionals? risky practices that make them vulnerable to get HIV and explores their media preferences and information needs. A total of 40 respondents from different BPO companies in Davao City participated in the through a comprehensive and through online questionnaire. Key informant interviews were also conducted to know the critical role that BPO management and the Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (RHWC) play in the intervention plan of the campaign. In general, the results show that even though respondents have high knowledge on HIV and AIDS, they have low awareness on testing resources, low prevention practices, and moderate attitude towards VCT that stems from the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS. This study also revealed that the risky sexual behavior (i.e. casual sex, inconsistent use of condom, unprotected penetrative sex) is high among young male BPO employees. Since no VCT campaign has ever been conducted for the BPO industry in Davao City, particularly targeting young male BPO professionals who engage in male sex, it is timely and highly significant to design an intervention that encourages most at-risk young male BPO professionals to be screened for HIV and consider it as both a prevention practice and a means to monitor their health status.
