Apo from a historical perspective. Using a periodization schema, the study follows the timeline segments based on the transformation that happened to human- environment relations in the course of time, starting from the period when the place served as hunting ground of the Tagabawa Bagobos, the entry of the Christian settlers, the attempts by both state and non- government agents in responding to present environmental and developmental challenges faced by the present area and divided into three major periods: Locatong as pangayaman and ban- nua, development projects.
