Ten different Protestant churches were included in the scope. Through study of the church history, sacred emotions scale, and photo elicitation survey, the identity and meaning of the churches included in the scope were studied and determined. The result showed that the Protestant parishioners have different design preferences among age brackets both in the exterior façade and interior of the church. To define the identity of protestant church from the perspective of the parishioners, the three preferred church designs were compared and analyzed to find common elements. The researcher combined these design elements to come up with a design for a sacred structure that is generally accepted by the denominations.
