It also aimed to determine the respondent's level of fear of stigma, perceived benefits on help-seeking prior exposure, perceived threat on mental health, and the socio-demographic characteristics: and to ascertain the relationships between variables. Using the one-shot survey design, this study was conducted among 150 adolescents in three barangays of Tugbok District, Davao City. Most of the respondents have a poor information environment regarding mental health. This means that adolescents have low knowledge, low understanding, and low awareness son mental health because of limited access to different information sources. The adolescents recorded high levels of fear of stigma and high perceived threat but showed a positive attitude towards information seeking and help seeking. Majority of the respondents that they are willing to seek help. Using the Pearson product Moment Correlation, the information environment established a significant relationship with the perceived threat towards mental health, fear of stigma, and perceived benefits regarding help-seeking. The Chi-square test revealed that the educational attainment, household size, and average family month income served as a predictive factors of the help-seeking behaviors of adolescents regarding mental health. The regression showed that the education attainment, income status, perceived threat on mental health, prior exposure to mental health, and fear of stigma can have a great influence to the information environment. With this, the adolescents are likely to be positive on help-seeking behavior regarding mental health if they have a rich information environment that increases self-efficacy. It may translate in to positive attitudes toward information-seeking. Help-seeking behavior is strongly reinforced if the perceived benefits of self-seeking exceeds the level of fear of stigma on mental health.
