(EHPAHI) is a Davao City homegrown renewable energy developer registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a private stock corporation focusing on hydropower development. It was incorporated in 2009 with the purpose of providing for the increasing electricity demand and lessening the electric power shortage in the country. Currently, the company puts its concertation on hydropower development and has future plans to utilize other renewable sources such as solar, wind, and biomass. This strategic plan will assist the subject entity in strengthening internal business processes and becoming more responsive to its external environment. Fred David’s Model was used in this study’s strategic planning approach. The model or framework is divided into three stages: strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. The PESTLE tool was used for external analysis to discover opportunities and threats affecting the organization and the industry. The internal environment was examined by assessing the major functional areas of the organization the discover the company’s strengths and weaknesses. To develop strategies, the outputs of both the EFE and IFE matrices were used as inputs in two other tools: (1) the inter-external (I-E) matrix and (2) the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) matrix. The Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) was used to evaluate the created strategies. The QSPM results show that the strategic option must be system improvement. System improvement involves the implementation of a comprehensive accounting system (AIS) which is essential for providing data for management planning and decision-making. Another benefit of efficient and successful corporate process flow is increased working capital. Furthermore, strengthening human resource development will also be a part of system improvement through the established of training and development programs, standardized remuneration and monetary benefit packages for the employees. Market penetration, on the other hand, involves promotional innovation and brand awareness through strategic partnership with government agencies and agricultural cooperatives in disseminating information about hybrid corn seed farming. Demand forecasting will also be part of this strategy to maximize potential demand for retail and private sales. An Internal Performance Scorecard is being used for control systems and monitoring of projected program implementation.
