N2  - The plant practice in Virginia Food Inc. in Cogon-Canamucan, Compostela, Cebu started on April 16, 2007. The purpose of the practice was to enhance and apply concepts and theories learned in the university. The author was exposed to the Quality Assurance (QA) and Research and Development (R&D) departments of the company?s meat manufacturing division. There she assisted the QA officers in monitoring their specific lines and was tasked to create her own product, respectively. By and large, she was directly involved in maintaining product standards and developing quality foods. Limitations during the plant practice were given, based on the company's discretion, to protect their trade secret and problems encountered were identified and recommendations were given
