One of the most One of the most tiring task for teachers is creating and managing examinations. In a time where there is an eminent lack of teachers in school while the number of students is rapidly increasing, such arduous job added to the other routinary tasks teachers carry has only lessened the time the teachers allot tot their students. This only result to the decreasing quality of education that the students receive from their mentors. An online examination system, the Examination OnLine (EOL), has been proven to be effective in aiding teachers in creating and managing exams. To better improve the system, it was later debugged, integrated with new features and interfaces, and was further enhanced as Enhanced Examinations OnLine (EEOL). The enhanced system has been proven to be effective and useful to teachers. However, its accessibility and availability to teachers have been limited by its platform dependency to Windows XP. The study aimed to remove this limitation by testing the compatibility of the system with Windows Vista operating system. There are programs that the EOL system requires to be installed and running in the server to enable the system to function. These programs are: Tomcat, MySQL, Java, OpenLaszlo, and HML parser. The system tested combinations of the different versions of these programs with the different version releases and system types of Windows to determine which combinations will allow EEOL to run on Windows Vista. In addition to testing and porting EEOL to Windows vista, this study also added a compiler invocation feature that will allow the system to call on compilers to compile and run simple Java and C codes. This enhancement allowed teachers and students to codes as answers to problem solving type questions and enabled teachers and students to check execution of their codes while students are taking the exams and while the teachers are checking, creating, or managing exams
