N2  - The damage caused by the Super Typhoon Pablo such as reduced livelihood resources for the local residents has led to increased poverty in the communities of Compostela Valley. This thesis aimed to establish guidelines for the integration of housing and potential livelihood in a community which is still recovering from the disaster, and to come up with an architecturally designed cottage industry village. The purpose is to develop the community?s self-sufficiency in their basic necessities of life. Resettlement housings had have been offered in many affected areas in Compostela Valley. Thus, it will be beneficial to them to integrate livelihood on housing communities. Cottage industry is a type of industry, supported by the government which is home-based. The potential livelihoods selected by the community in the conducted Participatory Workshop are Food Processing, Furniture Making, Handicraft, & Metalcraft. And this is where the project of the study would focus to from identifying the flow of production, space analysis, to the design development of the whole site of the community. Architecture can still be a great help on rebuilding another chapter of their lives?to build another place for them to live, to impart .another blessing, and to start a brand new hope
