<br/><br/> A model for a single period of inventory system with nonlinear holding and penalty costs was constructed. The model was then solved analytically and numerically using uniform and exponential distributions. Sensitivity analysis of the optimal cost, the optimal inventory and the reorder quantities was done with respect to the cost parameters, i.e., setup cost, penalty cost, purchasing cost, and penalty cost.
