The program aims to distribute lands to farmers for them to till. Despite the programs and support services provided by the government in assisting the CARP beneficiaries, problems regarding their productivity and profitability are still manifested. As such, Agribusiness Venture Arrangement (AVA) was implemented to channel resources (ie.technology, equipment and facilities) from private sector to the growers/beneficiaries through collaborative venture. This study aims to assess the pofitability of the two agrarian reform cooperatives (ARCs) namely, MARBEFPCO and PEARBEMPCO; and one non-agrarian reform cooperative, which is BMPC. In assessing the profitability of cooperatives, the Dupont analysis was used. The results show that on the average, the three cooperatives showed declining trend of Roe from 2008 to 2011. It can be attributed to the decreasing trend of the cooperatives' net profit margin. The results suggest that the cooperatives need proper monitoring on their revenue, costs and expenses to obtain an improvement in their ROE. Moreover, given the case of MARBEFPCO, involvement of the investor and government interventions are essential in improving the condition of the cooperative ER -
