Several Local and national Coastal Resource Management (CRM) policies and ordinance were implemented to combat the continuing degradation of these resources. This study assessed both the government of the implementation of the policies and ordinances to the coastal communities of Island Garden City of Samal and the willingness of 100 households to participate in coastal restoration efforts that are in line with the implemented policies and ordinances. The researcher examined the awareness of and perception to the implementation of policies and ordinances along with the previous participation and socio-demographic profile of each household. This study employed Binary Logit Regression in identifying the factor/s that have the greatest impact to their participation decision. Results show that lack of time and household income affects the willingness of the respondents to participate. Specifically, lack of alternative source of income pushed them in violating some protection and conservation protocol. Aside from these, the significant variables affecting willingness to participate are years living in coastal resources, years of formal education, household income, awareness of the policies and previous participation. It is recommended that the government should strengthen its information dissemination and provide incentives and alternatives and alternative livelihood for the affected fisherfolks ER -
