Thesis (BA Communication Arts) -- University of the Philippines Mindanao, 2018

Existing studies from different institutions revealed that Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is one of the most common mental health disorders of adolescents. Despite being one of the most common, this disorder has been one of the least talked about mental health disorder specifically in the Philippines. In order to gap the existing information about GAD and the public, the researcher decided to communicate that kind of matter to parents. This is in order for the adolescents to be understood by their parents and for them to able to undergo treatments right away. However, through a formative research, it was found out the parents have low knowledge on what GAD is. Thus, the need of having a medium to communicate what GAD is to parents is needed.
