In the Philippines, agritourism has been emerging considering that it has abundant agricultural production and massive green and unspoiled scenery. However, there are still provinces or municipalities is Allen, Northern Samar. Thus, this study sought to determine the awareness of farmers about agritourism, to assess the rate of farmers? willingness to participate in agritourism, to identify the factors that would affect the decision of farmers in agritourism participation and to recommend potential strategies and activities that would contribute to the participation of agritourism in the municipality of Allen. Accordingly, the study used primary and secondary data. The primary data was gathered through personal interview with 353 farmers using survey questionnaire and focused-group discussion. Binary logit regression was used as an econometric tool in order to obtain the factors affecting the decision of the farmer?s participation. The result showed that 23.8% of the respondent?s population were aware about agritourism through television, seminar or trainings of the farmer?s organization and word of mouth and 76.2% were not aware. Then 91.5% of the farmer-respondents were willing to participate in agritourism and 8.5% of the farmers were not willing. Age income education, awareness of familiarity about agritourism, farming system, area suitable for crop production and public access were statistically significant factors that affect the decision of the farmers toward participation. For recommendation, furnish this study to the concerned agencies especially Department of Agriculture and Department of Tourism and organizations for validation and prioritize assistance and support to the farmers.
