By means of fuzzy logic method, the raw data: physical configuration (net usable area, net circulation area, travel time, and travel distance) of the existing public markets in Metro Davao were simulated to create a fuzzy logic design model in classifying the degree of space efficiency. On the basis of the result of this research, it can be concluded that among the five target public markets: Agdao, Bankerohan, Toril, Mintal, and Calinan public market, only Toril reached fifty percent (50%) of the ideal hundred percent (100%) efficiency in space used. The rest of the public market were proven to convey their inefficiency level layout mainly due to narrow aisle area for circulation. Net usable area have been over maximize while the net circulation area have been lessen. Also, separation of sections (per building) contributes to longer travel distance and time delay of transaction resulting to inefficiency of public markets.
