Since 2012, the company immediately grew and developed; now, the management envisions to increase its production and to expand its market to a global scale. To assess the company and industry's current status and to formulate appropriate strategy, this strategic plan used the Comprehensive Strategic ? Management Model by Fred R. David, which includes internal and external analysis, strategy formulation and monitoring procedures. From the analysis conducted, the demand in the industry increased and the fast development of the company with lacking specific goals has lead to problems in terms of company cash management, supply and production process. MAVs strengths, specifically, its strong brand recognition due to the international awards received, and its existing forward and backward integration, almost completing the cacao value chain map; and the industry opportunities, government programs and technologies can be used to resolve the company's major issues. To address the recognized issues, it is proposed that the company shall strengthen its backward integration to compete with acquisition of supply and to improve the production process capacity and efficiency through purchase of additional equipment, efficiency research, and operational protocols. Implementation period shall start in the third quarter of 2017 and shall be facilitated by the affiliate companies, Puentespina Farms and Malagos Santi Corp, and MAV key personnel: Management, Plant Manager, Human Resource Manager, Production Coordinator, Research and Development specialist and Maintenance Supervisor.
