However, this is the most harmful problem among Filipino farmers since rice production in the country requires heavy labor, and technical advancement is not yet fully recognized. Hence, this undergraduate production thesis studied the capability of 2D animated short film as medium in advocating anti-rice wastage in the Philippines. It produced a compelling story and relatable characters which targets parents in order to encourage the teaching of good values to their children about proper eating habits and avoiding wastage. It aimed to contribute to the advocacy in acknowledging the hard work of farmers and support the Philippine Rice and Research Institute in raising awareness about the issue. The final output includes conceptual design, script, storyboard, and the animation was completed by adding music elements.
