Specifically, the material is designed for the people ages 15-20 years old. The target audience of the study, information to be included in the brochure, and other production elements are determined through a formative research, wherein four rounds of interviews and two rounds of focus grouped discussions are employed. This formative research includes the offices of PNP of Samal, BJMP and CHO of Samal. The results obtained are analyzed through thematic analysis to come up with the design elements of the brochure. Through formative research as well, things such as why the use of illegal drugs emerged and the reason behind it, what might be done further to prevent the spread of drug use, the appropriate approach in presenting information in the brochure are determined. In conclusion, ir oder to achieve the thesis? objectives, appropriate data gathering should be applied. Helpful theories and relevant studies during the production should be incorporated as well. The produced brochure can be used by the CADAC in Samal to be distributed among the participants of their symposiums. This will finally help CADAC distribute a material out of a substantive research.
