520 3 _aVerbal bullying between young children may arise in school when adults overlook their capability of developing bullying behaviors. This production thesis explored picture storybook to communicate vernal bullying awareness among young children through a context that is informational and entertaining. The study was dedicated to the students of Mintal Elementary School under the grade levels of 1 to 3. Authentic stories from the teachers and students from the said institutions were collated and synthesized guided by Allan Paivio?s Dual coding theory, the researcher produced the textual and visual images of the picture storybook that are complementary as they interplay and convey meanings through the medium. The study was also guided by the elements of the static visual narratives which was utilized to strategically frame the visual and textual components of the picture storybook. The study produced a picture storybook entitled Unsay Sunod? That highlighted a narrative that aimed to communicate the significance of the bystander role in a verbal bullying scenario. The produced picture storybook was dedicated to Maruyuma Learning Center, the library of Mintal Elementary School.
