520	3		_aThe vegetable agribusiness sector of Butuan City was overlooked, resulting in several issues such as demotivated farmers, low production volume, and fluctuating prices. These issues affected the local consumers of the city. These challenges led to the information of AgriBOOST Butuan, a project to address these problems by re-establishing the agribusiness sector of the city by strengthening local farmers to respond to stable and predictable demand for vegetables in the city. This paper delved into the social dynamics of AgriBOOST Butuan. Methods used in this study to investigate the vegetable value chain in Butuan City include the value chain analysis by calculating the cost and returns of vegetables and conducting a social network analysis of AgriBOOST Butuan. Theory of change explains how AgriBOOST Butuan would be able to address the issues in the vegetable sector. Value chain analysis revealed that the main problems in the vegetable sector in Butuan City are the climate, unstable vegetable prices, unmatched supply and demand of vegetables, and lack of financing to sustain production, especially in labor. Social network analysis showed the three influential farmers that played a big role in connecting to other farmers and disseminating information about AgriBOOST and farming in general. The network of stakeholders was also mapped, and it showed that all the actors are connected to the Project Management Office, indicating its significant role in the project’s success. This study recommends further monitoring the progress of the farmer and vendor partners to encourage more farmers and vendors to join the re-establishment of the vegetable sector of the city.
