520 _aThe practicum held at Lanao Foundation Dairy Processing Plant gave the student an actual experience on milk processing, including farm operations. The major products processed in the plant are sterilized chocolate milk and pasteurized chocolate milk bar as well as low-fat milk, pasteurized cream, fresh milk and pasteurized chocolate milk. The proponent was acquainted with actual plant operations like raw milk receiving and testing, mixing of ingredients, pasteurization, sterilization, packaging and bottling. She was able to perform physic-chemical and microbiological tests as part of the company?s quality control procedures. She was also exposed to actual farm operations like collection of milk and the conduct of California Mastitis Test (CMT). During her practicum, the proponent identified some areas of concern and cited corresponding recommendations for the said problems
