520 | _aThe effect on Phytophthora palmivora in vitro of crude leaf extracts from indigenous plants namely, sambong (Blumea balsamifera) and tuba (Croton tiglium), was studied. The concentration used were 200g/40ml, 200g/60ml, 200g/80ml and 0ml (control) for both plant sources. With both tuba and sambong, all concentrations tested were significant over the Control in inhibiting growth and sporulation of P. palmivora. Series of tests using higher concentrations are still required to come up with optimum ranges of extract concentrations from both plant sources that may be recommended against the coconut disease caused by the pathogen | ||
