520 3 _aSince ordinary fishermen would fish for only 2 to 3 kilos per day, many methods has been introduced that aided fishermen to grow into fish farmers. One of the suggested methods was the fish cage, criticized to have high costs and risks but returns high production. This study aims to help the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in developing the Panabo City Mariculture Park to aid the production of milkfish by analysing the productivity and efficiency of the caging of milkfish. The methods used are the Ordinary Least Squares method for the productivity of the fish cage. Data Envelopment Analysis- Tobit Analysis and Stochastic frontiers analysis was used for the technical efficiency. The cages' return on assests was also calculated. This study shows that the number of cages primarily affects the productivity of the investment. Capital increases both the production and efficiency of the investment. To be efficient, other feed types than Tatch Aquafeeds and usage of nets must also be considered. The returns of the cage structure were high, and the costs of the fish cage alone can be covered even at the first production.
