520 _aFederation of Davao Dairy Farmers Cooperative (FEDDAFC) with the brand name "Dairy Best" was organized by the Philippine Dairy Corporation (PDC), now National Dairy authority (NDA). Dairy Best supplies fresh milk products to different schools, supermarkets, malls, coffee shops, and other establishments in Davao City. The federation has concerns that must be address in order to achieve sustainable dairy farming and production. One of which are problems in low milk production due to poor animal health and nutrition accompanied by deceasing number of members and cows for the past years. Another is their weak management system. Each cooperative has its differences when it comes to the implementation of regulations and programs due to lack of control systems. With increasing demand of fresh milk, Dairy Best can make the most out of this opportunity. As the market continues to expand, Dairy Best must strengthen its operations and marketing to cope up with the demand of consumers and the changing environment. In order to deal with the external and internal factors affecting the dairy production, a strategic management plan was created to identify the major issues and its root causes to effectively come up with ways to be sustainable and successful in the long run. First is to determine the goals and priorities of the company followed by the SWOT analysis to evaluate the current status of the company. Next is an assessment of each factor affecting dairy production and operations of the cooperatives. The major issues were identified were low milk production and management of the cooperative. The strategies formulated are directed towards securing the supply chain and creating a management system applicable to all cooperatives.
