Institutions were then the place of autistic. Many are the misconceptions and neglect to the issue of autism. Conservatism is a prevalent Filipino culture. However, with therapy centers and specialized schools being founded in the 90's, the treatment potential became brighter for the autistic. Appropriate services and programs provide the opportunity for even the most severely disabled to be taught skills to allow them to reach their full potential. Environment plays a big role in fostering the developmental growth of these children as it contributes to better therapeutic advancements. The incorporation of the services and programs to the built environment may be apparent in the responsiveness of the students to treatment.
